Smart Device Connectivity & Patient Risk Surveillance

Intervene Early To Keep Patients Safer With Cloud-Based Medical Device Connectivity Solutions

New technologies like smart beds, continuous monitoring devices, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and mobile devices have revolutionized the way that medical data is collected and communicated.  Yet the value of healthcare technologies are not truly working best, until they are working seamlessly together.

Communicate actionable patient insights at the point of care to help improve patient safety with Hillrom Smart Device Connectivity.

Overview

Hillrom Smart Device Connectivity & Patient Risk Surveillance collects and analyzes patient data from connected devices, identifies patients at risk for deterioration, and communicates actionable insights to caregivers so they can intervene early and keep patients safe.

Medical device connectivity ensures your patients are at the center of care with this cloud-based, care communication ecosystem designed to improve clinical and patient outcomes.

  • Decrease Time to Intervention
  • Decrease Code Blues
  • Decrease Patient Length of Stay
  • Decrease ICU Admissions/Readmissions

Connect your IOT medical devices to collect and analyze patient data in near real-time

Wirelessly connect your Centrella Smart+ Bed to your hospital Wi-Fi network, enabling Bed Association to receive patient information from your Hospitals Admit/Discharge/Transfer system. By collecting, analyzing and communicating patient data, including patient heart rate, respiratory rate, weight, and alert information, caregivers can make informed decisions and care plans to keep patients safe.

Identify patients at risk for deterioration

Leverage your EMR and medical devices by coordinating patient data to provide caregivers early warning scores, alerts, and contextual information on the risks of patient deterioration.  Early identification of changes in patient condition enables caregivers to shift from reactive to proactive care during a patient’s deterioration.

Communicate actionable insights

Provide the right clinical insights to the right person at the right time with real-time, remote communications to caregivers via Voalte Mobile App, solution Dashboard, Voalte Status Board and 3rd party systems. Ensure caregivers always stay connected with their patients and are aware when their patient is at risk.

Detect patient deterioration proactively with Hillrom Patient Risk Surveillance

Continuously update and communicate dynamic risk assessment of patient deterioration risk scores to caregivers. Patient data from the Contact-Free, Continuous Monitoring solution, the EMR, and the medical device eco-system populate MEWS and SIRS scores, then communicate assigned tasks to care teams to proactively manage adverse events.

It’s nice to have another set of ‘eyes,’ so to speak, on the patient... Maybe respiration declines a bit, and the alert gets us right to the bedside.
